I know my peoms aren't as good as Tamers, but I thought I'd show a bit of my skill. Personally, I'm more of an author than a poet, but new things are good to try, no? Sorry if it's bad, this just came off of the top of my head. It's been raining all day where I am, so it fits.
Clouds gather,
Thunder rumbles,
We all look up, knowing what was coming,
but dreading it.
We'd heard about it on the radio.
We'd seen it on TV.
There are screams and rushes for cover as all try to find shelter,
Hiding in closets,
bathrooms,
even basements.
We hear the screaming of the wind,
ripping through the trees.
In out hearts, we all pray for loved ones,
hoping they're all okay.
But none know the true cause of the storm.
High above, the great god of lightning laughs.
For we are being punished,
for what, we may never know.
All we know,
Is that we've caused the Hurricane.
